Today is my birthday. It was a good day. I spent most of it in the kitchen and my scrapbook/stamping/sewing room...my two favorite places.
Since Tim hunts we always have a freezer full of meat. In order to make use of all of it before the next years harvest (which we usually never do) I have to get a little creative with cooking it. Today I made venison pizza. I removed the sausage from the casing, fried it up and put it on pizza. It was delicious!
Instead of a birthday cake, I made myself some lemon cheese bars...they were even better than the pizza!
For supper I made my favorite, bean soup. The best part about ham is saving the bone to make bean soup. The beans look so colorful before they're cooked.
