I was in Albuquerque, New Mexico this weekend on a work related trip.

We arrived at the Minneapolis airport at 9am, just in time for breakfast.

This Bloody Mary was like a salad in a glass, it came with a beer chaser and a plate! It included celery, a pickle, jalapeno pepper, black olive, green olive, pearl onion, beef jerky stick, shrimp and a hunk of cheese.

We visited "old town" which is a part of town that's...well, old. There were street vendors and lots of souvenir shops. I purchased the cutest brown beaded necklace from one of the ladies on the sidewalk.

We ate lunch at the Church Street Cafe, the oldest house in Albuquerque that has been converted into a restaurant. The guacamole was SO good I could have licked the bowl clean. It was served with fresh, homemade tortilla chips.

There were bunches of red peppers hanging from all the buildings.

The weather was nice, about 70 degrees and windy. Although it wouldn't have been my first choice of places to visit, I'm glad I was able to go.
