School starts next week and I must say I'm ready for it, although I'm not sure Jake is. I am very much a schedule oriented person and summer has been all about throwing any sense of routine out the window. While I welcome the freedom summer brings, I look forward to getting back on schedule.
One thing in particular is our weekly menu plan. I've been using this plan for several years now and have modified it through out that time to what it is now. Each week I make a list of 5-7 meals I'll make for that week. I then go through my pantry and make a shopping list of the ingredients I need to make each recipe, checking for things I already have on hand. When we get home in the evening I just pick one of the meals from my list knowing that I have all the ingredients on hand to make it.
