Happy Birthday Rhett!

We celebrated my nephew Rhett's 4th birthday yesterday!

Jake had a fun time playing with his cousins.

His newest cousin, Elias, was there too. He could be found in Grandma's arms most of the day!

Valentine Legos

We gave Jake a new Lego set for Valentines Day.
Legos = best toy ever!

And, some happy thoughts from today -
1) Looking forward to watching Jake play basketball tomorrow night during half-time of the first game.
2) Jake saw crab legs at the grocery store today and asked if we could get them for supper. I would never turn down crab legs! That's all we had...crab legs and butter.
3) Loving the new American Idol judges. Steven Tyler is awesome!
4) Excited to finally be taking Karen Russell's photography class after wishing for so long.
5) So glad it warmed up a little so I could get outside and get back to running.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jake's class had a Valentine party this afternoon, these were the Valentine's we made for his friends.

Tim and I celebrated on Saturday with a movie in the afternoon and then out to supper at Sanders, my favorite restaurant!

A few weeks ago I decided to take up knitting. I purchased this book, The Chicks with Sticks Guide to Knitting, and some yarn and got to work.

My first project was a scarf.

I sewed the ends together to make an infinity scarf. Here's the finished product, I love how it turned out!

Next I made a dog sweater for Lucy. There wasn't much yarn selection in town but I think it turned out cute...a valentine sweater!

I'm having a fun time with my new hobby. Tim would say I'm obsessed, it is taking up a lot of my free time but it's a good winter project if you ask me!

Sunset Bike Ride

This is a layout I created using a sketch challenge from Soul Scrappers. I am having problems getting the photomerge feature in Photoshop to work...which makes for an ugly line down the side of my layout.

Color Challenge Card

I joined an online group called Soul Scrappers yesterday. They post scrapbook and card making challenges including, sketches, color themes, techniques and more. It's a fun way to get new ideas and stay motivated to create. Here is my first submission for a color challenge using Stampin' Up! crumb cake, pink pirouette, riding hood red and black colors. The stamp set I used is Aviary.
